Tong Ren
<P>TONG REN energy healing was developed by Tom Tam as a therapy for internally healing a patient's energy system by using the collective unconscious, as defined by Dr. Carl Jung.</P> <P>Tom has found that Tong Ren energy healing is an effective method for healing people with cancer and other serious illnesses. MIT and Harvard have done studies on the results of Tom's healing system and it has proven very successful even for "hopeless" cases. As of late, the class has drawn people with diseases such as MS, ALS, Parkinson's Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lyme Disease, HIV/AIDS and much more.</P> <P>WHY IS IT CALLED A GUINEA PIG CLASS? Chinese custom believes that when you have found a lucky name you never change it. In the beginning, when practicing Tong Ren healing, new methods were tried for healing the most difficult cases, Patients were told that they would be part of a "Guinea Pig" class. After many success stories began to surface and Tom saw dramatic results week by week, the name "Guinea Pig" class became a lucky symbol to Tom, his students and patients. So, it remains "Guinea Pig clas" to this day.</P> <P>WHAT ARE GUINEA PIG HEALING CLASSES - They are group sessions using Tong Ren therapy. They are now held worldwide by Tom's students. There are also classes for healing animals. The patients are seated facing the therapists. Each patient is asked what their problem is. The practitioner then determines the treatment points to be stimulated and they are stimulated by tapping on the points on a doll which represents the patient. The patient does not need to be touched. The "Chi" energy is directed this way to the blockages that are causing illness in the body. Once the energy can move freely again, the body will heal. </P> <P>Guinea Pig Classes are held in East Providence every Wednesday evening from 5:30 - 6:30pm Traditionally a $10.00 donation is given, but any amount is appreciated to off-set expenses, no one is ever turned away.
